Is it legal to buy out of state lottery tickets online?
i checked out a site called betslips and they state they pay u based on the state lottery winning numbers u pick- so if I live in Pa and pick and play florida lottery and hit for all 5 numbers i win but they have a courier in that state buy the actual ticket?
How would this work for tax purposes and what about the publicity stuff? I am sure if someone hits mega milllions thru this they are going to want to cash an actual ticket?
anybody know anything about this or is it just a scam?
That doesn’t sound legal. It sounds like they would take your money and leave you high and dry. If the courier buys that ticket and makes big money, who’s to say they won’t just keep that money? You’d be stuck trying to prove that you picked the number but I’ll bet your name won’t be anywhere and you’ll have no way of proving it.
